Philosophy
The power of storytelling.
The name DOROTHEAFILM recalls Dorothea Viehmann, one of the most important sources of the Brothers Grimm.
She possessed the rare gift of preserving stories orally, word for word, clear and unadulterated. When the Brothers Grimm met her in 1813, they found in her a source of over forty fairy tales, whose truthfulness and linguistic precision deeply impressed them.
Like Viehmann, we too believe in the power of stories, in authenticity and reality.
We seek truth in the image and create films that last.
Staged or AI-supported elements can also be part of our visual language, if they serve the truth instead of replacing it. Our films combine reality and design into an honest image: We seek truth and make it visible.
